Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) and the visiting Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC), observed South Stokes's volleyball team hold off Elkin by a count of 3-2.

The Sauras (11-6) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC). The Villains enter the Greater Triad 1A/2A contest with a 11-2 record. In their last contest, Bishop McGuinness got by Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy (Winston-Salem, NC), 3-0, in a league contest.
