South Elgin Storm (South Elgin, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Sycamore Spartans (Sycamore, IL), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Storm (11-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Hampshire (Hampshire, IL). The Whip-Purs come into the non-league challenge with a 14-4 record. In their last challenge, Hampshire beat Cary-Grove (Cary, IL), 2-0, in a league test.

The Spartans now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Genoa-Kingston for a non-league test on Saturday, September 20. Sycamore will face a Cogs squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Lutheran (Rockford, IL). The Cogs record now stands at 10-7.
