New York High School Football - Jericho falls to Calhoun
September 21, 2024: Merrick, NY 11566 The Calhoun Colts felled the visiting Jericho Jayhawks football team by a score of 39-13 in Saturday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Colts play the Mepham Pirates (North Bellmore, NY) in a Section 8 Conference II challenge, on Saturday, September 28. Calhoun will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Pirates go into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 42-0 league win over Roslyn/Friends Academy (Roslyn Heights, NY).
The Jayhawks (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Long Beach (Long Beach, NY). The Marines go into the Section 8 Conference II challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Long Beach was dropped by Carey (Franklin Square, NY), 34-14, in a league challenge.
