The Vinton County Vikings (McArthur, OH) football routed the host Alexander Spartans (Albany, OH), 62-0 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Vikings face the Northwest Mohawks (McDermott, OH) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 29. Vinton County will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record. The Mohawks enter the bout with a 3-4 record after their 7-6 league loss to Valley (Lucasville, OH).

The Spartans (1-5) will now prepare for their bout against River Valley (Bidwell, OH). The Raiders enter the Tri-Valley - Ohio bout with a 0-6 record. In their last bout, River Valley was overwhelmed by Wellston (Wellston, OH), 49-12, in a league bout.
