In Friday's non-league game, the Franklin Regional Panthers (Murrysville, PA) football team smashed the visiting Shaler Area Titans (Pittsburgh, PA), by a score of 55-7.

The Panthers (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Plum (Pittsburgh, PA). The Mustangs come into the WPIAL AAAAA Big East game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Plum was ripped by Gateway (Monroeville, PA), 49-14, in a league game.

The Titans now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Woodland Hills for a WPIAL AAAAA Northeast game on Saturday, September 30.
