The Quitman Bulldogs football team (Quitman, AR), was beaten 30-22 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Newport Greyhounds (Newport, AR)

The Greyhounds (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Salem (Salem, AR). The Greyhounds come into the 3A Region 2 challenge with a 5-0 record. In their last challenge, Salem achieved victory over Atkins (Atkins, AR), 56-14, in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host England for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 29. Quitman will meet a Lions team coming off a 44-6 league win over Baptist Prep (Little Rock, AR). The Lions record now stands at 3-1.
