Missouri High School Softball - Truman bounces Sherwood
September 22, 2023: Creighton, MO 64739 Truman Patriots (Independence, MO) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Sherwood Marksmen (Creighton, MO), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Patriots now sport a 6-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pleasant Hill for a non-league contest on Saturday, September 23. Truman will play a Roosters/Chicks team coming off a 13-8 league win over Odessa (Odessa, MO). The Roosters/Chicks record now stands at 9-7.
In their next game, the Marksmen play the Belton Pirates (Belton, MO) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 23. Sherwood will attempt to move on its 9-4 season record. The Pirates come into the contest with a 9-6 record after their 12-2 league loss to Raymore-Peculiar (Peculiar, MO).
