The Rye Thunderbolts football squad scored 56 points and restricted the host Trinidad Miners to 12 in the Thunderbolts non-league victory on Friday.

The Thunderbolts now possess a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ellicott for a 1A League 3 battle on Friday, September 30. Rye will play a Thunderhawks squad coming off a 48-6 non-league loss to Estes Park (Estes Park, CO). The Thunderhawks record now stands at 0-4.

Coming up next, the Miners play the Ignacio Bobcats (Ignacio, CO) in a 1A League 2 battle, on Friday, September 30. Trinidad will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Bobcats enter the battle with a 2-1 record after their 42-0 non-league loss to Montezuma-Cortez (Cortez, CO).
