The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the DeSoto Central Jaguars (Southaven, MS) and the visiting Regents Lions (Oxford, MS), saw DeSoto Central's volleyball squad beat Regents by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, DeSoto Central upgrades its record to 20-11 on the year. The Jaguars travel to Lewisburg (Olive Branch, MS) to play the Patriots in a Class 7 Region 1 bout on Saturday, September 23. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 20-4. Lewisburg won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Starkville (Starkville, MS)

The Lions now own a 12-14 record. They play next when they host Ingomar for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 26. Regents will play a Falcons squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Biggersville (Corinth, MS). The Falcons record now stands at 25-3.
