Fans at Monday's league contest between the Foran Lions (Milford, CT) and the visiting Shelton Gaels (Shelton, CT), observed Foran's volleyball team top Shelton by a count of 3-1.

The Lions (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against Branford (Branford, CT). The Hornets enter the Southern Connecticut - Hammonasset contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Branford defeated East Haven (East Haven, CT), 3-0, in a league bout.

With the loss, Shelton drops to 5-5 on the campaign. The Gaels travel to Amity Regional (Woodbridge, CT) to clash with the Spartans in a Southern Connecticut - Hammonasset bout on Friday, September 27. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 9-1. Amity Regional won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Sacred Heart Academy (Hamden, CT)
