September 24, 2024: Bridgeport, CT 06604 Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Pomperaug Panthers (Southbury, CT) and the host Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars (Bridgeport, CT), saw Pomperaug's soccer squad knock off Kolbe-Cathedral by a count of 2-0.
The Panthers (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Weston (Weston, CT). The Trojans enter the non-league battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, Weston tipped Notre Dame Prep (Fairfield, CT), 10-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Cougars battle the Bunnell Bulldogs (Stratford, CT) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, September 26. Kolbe-Cathedral will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 6-0 record after their 7-1 non-league win over Immaculate (Danbury, CT).
