September 25, 2023: Blackshear, GA 31516 In Monday's league contest, the Toombs County Bulldogs (Lyons, GA) softball team overwhelmed the host Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA), by a margin of 7-1.
With the triumph, Toombs County moves its record to 12-5 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA) to play the Warriors in a 2A Region 3 contest on Tuesday, September 26. The Warriors come into the contest with a record of 2-13. Tattnall County lost 5-3 in their recent league contest against Appling County (Baxley, GA)
In their next game, the Bears play the Vidalia Indians (Vidalia, GA) in a 2A Region 3 contest, on Wednesday, September 27. Pierce County will attempt to move on its 9-9 season record. The Indians come into the contest with a 11-6 record after their 13-1 league win over Brantley County (Nahunta, GA).
