In Thursday's league outing, the Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) football squad knocked off the visiting South San Antonio Bobcats (San Antonio, TX), by a margin of 28-13.

The Mustangs now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southwest Legacy for a 5A-1 Region IV District 14 outing on Friday, October 3. Nixon will clash with a Titans squad coming off a 57-18 league win over Cigarroa (Laredo, TX). The Titans record now stands at 5-0.

The Bobcats (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Martin (Laredo, TX). The Tigers enter the 5A-1 Region IV District 14 game with a 1-3 record. In their last game, Martin fell by Southside (San Antonio, TX), 22-13, in a league game.
