The Vikings now sport a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Madison for a Western Highlands 1A/2A test on Wednesday, September 28. Avery County will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 1-6.
With the loss, Draughn drops to 0-10 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Mitchell (Bakersville, NC) to meet the Mountaineers in a Western Highlands 1A/2A test on Wednesday, September 28. The Mountaineers come into the test with a record of 0-5. Mitchell lost 9-0 in their recent league test against Owen (Black Mountain, NC)
