September 26, 2024: Eastville, VA 23347 Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad notch a victory over the host Northampton Yellowjackets (Eastville, VA), 3-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Mathews improves its record to 4-6 on the season. The Blue Devils host King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA) to encounter the Royal Tigers in a Tidewater battle on Tuesday, October 1. The Royal Tigers go into the battle with a record of 5-8. King & Queen Central lost 3-0 in their recent non-league battle against Lancaster (Lancaster, VA)
The Yellowjackets now own a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nandua for a Eastern Shore battle on Tuesday, October 1. Northampton will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Worcester Prep (Berlin, MD). The Warriors record now stands at 3-11.
