Virginia High School Volleyball - Mathews over Northampton
October 23, 2024: Mathews, VA 23109 Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Mathews Blue Devils (Mathews, VA) and the visiting Northampton Yellowjackets (Eastville, VA), observed Mathews's volleyball team top Northampton by a count of 3-1.
The Blue Devils (8-11) will now prepare for their contest against King & Queen Central (King & Queen Court House, VA). The Royal Tigers enter the Tidewater contest with a 8-12 record. In their last contest, King & Queen Central notched a victory over Carver College and Career Academy (Chester, VA), 3-0, in a league contest.
Next, the Yellowjackets meet the Chincoteague Ponies (Chincoteague, VA) in a Eastern Shore contest, on Thursday, October 24. Northampton will attempt to move on its 7-10 season record.
