Illinois High School Football - Aurora East crushed by Elgin

September 26, 2025: Elgin, IL 60120

The Elgin Maroons walloped the visiting Aurora East Tomcats football team by a score of 49-0 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Maroons face the Larkin Royals (Elgin, IL) in a UpState 8 - West challenge, on Friday, October 3. Elgin will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Royals go into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 49-7 league loss to Streamwood (Streamwood, IL).

With the defeat, Aurora East drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Tomcats host Bartlett (Bartlett, IL) to meet the Hawks in a UpState 8 - West test on Friday, October 3. The Hawks come into the test with a record of 1-4. Bartlett lost 49-21 in their recent league test against West Aurora (Aurora, IL)
