September 26, 2025: Elgin, OR 97827 The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Elgin Huskies (Elgin, OR) and the visiting Cove Leopards (Cove, OR), witnessed Elgin's football squad topple Cove by a tally of 40-22.
The Huskies (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Lyle/Wishram/Klickitat/Glenwood (Lyle, WA). The enter the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Lyle/Wishram/Klickitat/Glenwood was outscored by Dufur (Dufur, OR), 32-24, in a non-league bout.
The Leopards now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Pilot Rock for a 1A Special District 3 (8 Man) bout on Friday, October 3. Cove will encounter a Rockets team coming off a 50-6 league loss to Echo (Echo, OR). The Rockets record now stands at 1-3.
