The Highland Park Scots got by the host Tyler Lions football team by a score of 70-66 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Scots face the Red Oak Hawks (Red Oak, TX) in a 5A-1 Region II District 7 challenge, on Friday, October 3. Highland Park will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Hawks go into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 39-26 non-league win over Ellison (Killeen, TX).

The Lions (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Joshua (Joshua, TX). The Owls come into the 5A-1 Region II District 7 test with a 3-1 record. In their last test, Joshua tipped Midlothian (Midlothian, TX), 27-21, in a league test.
