The crowd at Friday's league contest between the North Platte Panthers (Dearborn, MO) and the host Penney Hornets (Hamilton, MO), witnessed North Platte's football squad topple Penney by a tally of 38-20.

The Panthers (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Plattsburg (Plattsburg, MO). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 0-5 record. In their last contest, Plattsburg was outscored by West Platte (Weston, MO), 62-14, in a league contest.

Next up, the Hornets encounter the East Buchanan Bulldogs (Gower, MO) in a KCI bout, on Friday, October 3. Penney will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 35-6 league win over Lathrop (Lathrop, MO).
