In Friday's non-league game, the DeMatha Stags (Hyattsville, MD) football team edged the host Washington Tigers (Massillon, OH), by a score of 20-14.

In their next game, the Stags face the Life Christian Academy Eagles (Chester, VA) in a non-league game, on Friday, October 4. DeMatha will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 1-4 record after their 19-6 league win over Catholic (Virginia Beach, VA).

The Tigers (4-2) will now prepare for their game against Gilmour Academy (Gates Mills, OH). The Lancers enter the Freelance game with a 6-0 record. In their last game, Gilmour Academy held off John Marshall (Cleveland, OH), 42-6, in a non-league game.
