September 27, 2025: Colorado City, AZ 85021 Mogollon Mustangs (Heber, AZ) followers were content Saturday as they observed their football squad smash the host El Capitan Eagles (Colorado City, AZ), 58-20 in a league match.
The Mustangs (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Red Rock (Sedona, AZ). The Scorpions come into the 1A North (8 Man) match with a 0-5 record. In their last match, Red Rock was routed by Mohave Accelerated (Bullhead City, AZ), 52-0, in a non-league match.
Next up, the Eagles play the California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs (Riverside, CA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 3. El Capitan will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Cubs go into the battle with a 3-1 record after their 62-20 non-league win over United Christian Academy (Rancho Cucamonga, CA).
