In Tuesday's league battle, the visiting Gray Stone Day Knights volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the North Stanly Comets.

The Knights (11-3) will now prepare for their battle against Union Academy (Monroe, NC). The Cardinals come into the Yadkin Valley 1A/2A battle with a 18-0 record. In their last battle, Union Academy achieved victory over Robinson (Concord, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Comets clash with the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC) in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A battle, on Thursday, September 30. North Stanly will attempt to advance on its 6-8 season record. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls come into the battle with a 10-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC).
