In Monday's league battle, the visiting Union Academy Cardinals volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the North Stanly Comets.

The Cardinals (16-0) will now prepare for their battle against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Yellow Jackets come into the non-league battle with a 4-8 record. In their last battle, Forest Hills lost by West Stanly (Oakboro, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.
