The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC) and the visiting Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC), observed Franklin's football squad edge Pisgah by a count of 23-21.

The Panthers now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they host North Henderson for a 3A West Conference 54 contest on Friday, October 7. Franklin will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 48-10 league loss to Tuscola (Waynesville, NC). The Knights record now stands at 2-4.
