In Friday's league match, the visiting Clovis Cougars football squad scored a close 38-37 victory over the Central Grizzlies.

In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Clovis North Broncos (Fresno, CA) in a Tri-River match, on Friday, October 6. Clovis will attempt to move on its 5-1 season record. The Broncos enter the match with a 6-0 record after their 31-21 league win over Clovis East (Clovis, CA).

The Grizzlies (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Buchanan (Clovis, CA). The Bears enter the Tri-River match with a 2-4 record. In their last match, Buchanan was nudged by Clovis West (Fresno, CA), 33-7, in a league match.
