The Coal City Coalers topped the host Reed-Custer Comets football team by a count of 35-6 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Coal City upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Coalers host Wilmington (Wilmington, IL) to confront the Wildcats in a Illinois Central Eight outing on Friday, October 6. The Wildcats go into the outing with a record of 5-1. Wilmington won 49-0 in their recent league outing against Herscher (Herscher, IL)

With the loss, Reed-Custer moves to 2-4 on the season. The Comets travel to Manteno (Manteno, IL) to confront the Panthers in a Illinois Central Eight outing on Friday, October 6.
