The Denton Broncos (Denton, TX) football defeated the visiting Independence Knights (Frisco, TX), 34-7 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Broncos face the Creekview Mustangs (Carrollton, TX) in a 5A-2 Region I District 3 bout, on Friday, October 13. Denton will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record.

The Knights (0-5) will now prepare for their bout against Creekview (Carrollton, TX). The Mustangs enter the 5A-2 Region I District 3 bout with a 0-6 record. In their last bout, Creekview lost by Emerson (McKinney, TX), 77-12, in a league bout.
