The Northeastern Eagles held off the visiting Hertford County Bears football team by a count of 43-42 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Northeastern upgrades its record to 6-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to Camden County (Camden, NC) to encounter the Bruins in a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal outing on Friday, October 6. The Bruins go into the outing with a record of 3-3. Camden County won 35-14 in their recent league outing against First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC)
