The Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) football routed the visiting First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC), 72-7 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) in a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal bout, on Friday, September 22. Northeastern will attempt to advance on its 4-0 season record. The Aces enter the bout with a 3-1 record after their 63-8 league win over Manteo (Manteo, NC).

The Nighthawks (0-3) will now prepare for their bout against Manteo (Manteo, NC). The Redskins enter the 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal bout with a 0-4 record. In their last bout, Manteo was overwhelmed by Holmes (Edenton, NC), 63-8, in a league bout.
