The River Valley Vikings (Caledonia, OH) football edged the visiting Shelby Whippets (Shelby, OH), 28-24 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Vikings face the Highland Fighting Scots (Marengo, OH) in a Mid-Ohio bout, on Friday, October 6. River Valley will attempt to advance on its 3-4 season record. The Fighting Scots enter the bout with a 4-3 record after their 23-21 league loss to Galion (Galion, OH).

The Whippets (5-2) will now prepare for their bout against Clear Fork (Bellville, OH). The Colts enter the Mid-Ohio bout with a 1-6 record. In their last bout, Clear Fork was nudged by Marion Harding (Marion, OH), 35-7, in a league bout.
