Maryland High School Football - Patuxent thwarted by Northern
September 29, 2025: Owings, MD 20736 Northern Patriots (Owings, MD) fans went home content Monday as they observed their football squad top the visiting Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD), 26-9 in a non-league test.
The Patriots now hold a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Calvert for a non-league test on Monday, October 6. Northern will meet a Cavaliers squad coming off a 29-0 non-league win over Great Mills (Great Mills, MD). The Cavaliers record now stands at 4-0.
The Panthers (0-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD). The Raiders enter the non-league challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Leonardtown ran past McDonough (Pomfret, MD), 48-8, in a non-league challenge.
