The Ledford Panthers volleyball team (Thomasville, NC), went down 3-1 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Central Davidson Spartans (Lexington, NC)

The Spartans (14-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Asheboro (Asheboro, NC). The Blue Comets come into the Mid-Piedmont 3A challenge with a 4-10 record. In their last challenge, Asheboro went down by Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers encounter the Wheatmore Warriors (Trinity, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 4. Ledford will attempt to move on its 6-7 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 3-0 league win over Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC).
