Memphis University Owls (Memphis, TN) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Briarcrest Christian Saints (Eads, TN), 19-17 in a league test.

With the triumph, Memphis University improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Christian Brothers (Memphis, TN) to confront the Purple Wave in a Division II-AAA West test on Friday, October 14. The Purple Wave come into the test with a record of 4-3. Christian Brothers lost 45-9 in their recent league test against Brentwood Academy (Brentwood, TN)

With the loss, Briarcrest Christian drops to 3-4 on the campaign. The Saints host PURE Academy (Memphis, TN) to confront the in a non-league test on Friday, October 7. The come into the test with a record of 2-4. PURE Academy lost 21-7 in their recent non-league test against Christian Brothers (Memphis, TN)
