With the win, Excel improves its record to 6-0 on the season. The Panthers host Thomasville (Thomasville, AL) to confront the Tigers in a 3A Region 1 test on Friday, October 7. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 5-1. Thomasville won 28-20 in their recent league test against Flomaton (Flomaton, AL)
With the loss, Monroe County moves to 1-5 on the season. The Tigers host Hillcrest (Evergreen, AL) to confront the Jaguars in a 3A Region 1 test on Friday, October 7. The Jaguars go into the test with a record of 3-3. Hillcrest won 29-28 in their recent league test against Mobile Christian (Mobile, AL)
