Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Capital Cougars (Charleston, WV), 3-1 in a league challenge.

The Vikings (18-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Spring Valley (Huntington, WV). The Timberwolves go into the non-league test with a 22-9 record. In their last test, Spring Valley went down by Cabell Midland (Ona, WV), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now sport a 8-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to George Washington for a Mountain State test on Saturday, October 4. Capital will face a Patriots squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV). The Patriots record now stands at 15-9.
