Tennessee High School Volleyball - Washburn tips Union County

In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Washburn Pirates volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Union County Patriots.

The Pirates (22-7) will now prepare for their test against Cosby (Cosby, TN). The Eagles go into the A District 2 test with a 2-12 record. In their last test, Cosby was edged by Cocke County (Newport, TN), 3-2, in a non-league test.

The Patriots now own a 1-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Karns for a non-league test on Thursday, October 2. Union County will face a Beavers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Eagleton College & Career Academy (Maryville, TN). The Beavers record now stands at 1-13.
