California High School Basketball - Mt. Carmel nudges Otay Ranch

January 10, 2022: Chula Vista, CA 91913

Mt. Carmel Sundevils (San Diego, CA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Otay Ranch Mustangs (Chula Vista, CA), 74-72 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mt. Carmel upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Sundevils travel to San Dieguito Academy (Encinitas, CA) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 15. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 5-6.

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders (Chula Vista, CA) in a Mesa bout, on Wednesday, January 12. Otay Ranch will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 72-49 non-league loss to Carlsbad (Carlsbad, CA).
