Grapevine Mustangs (Grapevine, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Argyle Eagles (Argyle, TX), 67-60 in a league bout.

With the win, Grapevine upgrades its record to 14-8 on the season. The Mustangs host Richland (North Richland Hills, TX) to play the Royals in a 5A Region I District 7 bout on Friday, January 13. The Royals go into the bout with a record of 13-4. Richland won 64-44 in their recent league bout against Birdville (North Richland Hills, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Denton Broncos (Denton, TX) in a 5A Region I District 7 bout, on Friday, January 13. Argyle will attempt to upgrade on its 18-6 season record. The Broncos go into the bout with a 14-5 record after their 58-43 league win over Lake Dallas (Corinth, TX).
