The Franklin Lions basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Buffalo Bison to 34 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Groesbeck for a 3A Region III District 20 contest on Friday, January 13. Franklin will meet a Goats team coming off a 55-36 league win over Westwood (Palestine, TX). The Goats record now stands at 12-10.

The Bison (10-13) will now prepare for their contest against Mexia (Mexia, TX). The Black Cats enter the 3A Region III District 20 contest with a 19-5 record. In their last contest, Mexia triumphed over Teague (Teague, TX), 85-38, in a league contest.
