Kentucky High School Basketball - Conner nips Covington Catholic
January 10, 2023: Park Hills, KY 41011 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Conner Cougars (Hebron, KY) and the host Covington Catholic Colonels (Park Hills, KY), saw Conner's basketball squad hold off Covington Catholic by a count of 74-68.
With the victory, Conner upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Boone County (Florence, KY) to play the Rebels in a District 33 challenge on Friday, January 13. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 1-9. Boone County lost 74-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Grant County (Dry Ridge, KY)
Next up, the Colonels play the Holmes Bulldogs (Covington, KY) in a District 35 challenge, on Thursday, January 12. Covington Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 12-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 0-12 record after their 83-56 non-league loss to Scott (Covington, KY).
