The McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Covenant Knights to 41 in the Mustangs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 23-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shelton for a TAPPS 4A District 2 contest on Friday, January 13. McKinney Christian Academy will battle a Chargers team coming off a 66-49 league win over Vanguard College Prep (Waco, TX). The Chargers record now stands at 11-10.

The Knights (8-8) will now prepare for their bout against Dallas Christian (Mesquite, TX). The Chargers come into the TAPPS 4A District 2 bout with a 2-14 record. In their last bout, Dallas Christian was knocked off by All Saints Episcopal (Tyler, TX), 66-49, in a league bout.
