January 10, 2023: Freer, TX 78357 The Freer Buckaroos basketball team (Freer, TX), was overwhelmed 62-37 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Santa Maria Cougars (Santa Maria, TX)
The Cougars now possess a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Agua Dulce for a 2A Region IV District 32 battle on Friday, January 13. Santa Maria will battle a Longhorns team coming off a 71-58 league loss to La Villa (La Villa, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 4-5.
The Buckaroos (8-6) will now prepare for their battle against Ben Bolt (Ben Bolt, TX). The Badgers come into the 2A Region IV District 32 battle with a 4-15 record. In their last battle, Ben Bolt was overwhelmed by Premont (Premont, TX), 45-35, in a league battle.
