Kentucky High School Basketball - Lincoln County nips Garrard County
January 10, 2023: Stanford, KY 40484 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Lincoln County Patriots (Stanford, KY) and the visiting Garrard County Golden Lions (Lancaster, KY), saw Lincoln County's basketball squad hold off Garrard County by a tally of 52-48.
With the victory, Lincoln County improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Patriots host Boyle County (Danville, KY) to play the Rebels in a District 45 challenge on Friday, January 13. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. Boyle County lost 46-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Wayne County (Monticello, KY)
Next up, the Golden Lions play the Larue County Hawks (Hodgenville, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 13. Garrard County will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 61-59 non-league loss to Taylor County (Campbellsville, KY).
