Virginia High School Basketball - Grundy crushes Hurley
January 10, 2023: Hurley, VA 24620 Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Hurley Rebels (Hurley, VA), 54-32 in a league bout.
With the win, Grundy upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Golden Wave travel to Patrick Henry (Glade Spring, VA) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 7-5. Patrick Henry won 71-52 in their recent league bout against Northwood (Saltville, VA)
Next up, the Rebels play the Castlewood Blue Devils (Castlewood, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 11. Hurley will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 0-11 record after their 81-60 league loss to Thomas Walker (Ewing, VA).
