Wisconsin High School Basketball - Hayward overwhelmed by Rice Lake
January 10, 2023: Rice Lake, WI 54868 The Rice Lake Warriors basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Hayward Hurricanes to 40 in the Warriors non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Warriors now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Richmond for a Big Rivers contest on Friday, January 13. Rice Lake will battle a Tigers team coming off a 70-63 league win over Chippewa Falls (Chippewa Falls, WI). The Tigers record now stands at 1-8.
The Hurricanes (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Cumberland (Cumberland, WI). The Beavers come into the Heart O'North contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Cumberland triumphed over Spring Valley (Spring Valley, WI), 68-58, in a non-league contest.
