The Independence Falcons basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Highland Scots to 50 in the Falcons league triumph on Tuesday.

The Falcons now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bakersfield for a South Yosemite - Valley contest on Thursday, January 12. Independence will battle a Drillers team coming off a 66-18 league loss to Bakersfield Christian (Bakersfield, CA). The Drillers record now stands at 3-15.

The Scots (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against Kings Christian (Lemoore, CA). The Crusaders enter the non-league contest with a 11-9 record. In their last contest, Kings Christian ran past Laton (Laton, CA), 83-35, in a league contest.
