Maryland High School Basketball - Middletown fells Smithsburg
January 10, 2023: Smithsburg, MD 21783 Middletown Knights (Middletown, MD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Smithsburg Leopards (Smithsburg, MD), 62-42 in a league bout.
With the win, Middletown upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Knights host Walkersville (Walkersville, MD) to clash with the Lions in a CMC bout on Thursday, January 12. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 8-2. Walkersville won 62-42 in their recent league bout against Catoctin (Thurmont, MD)
Next up, the Leopards clash with the Boonsboro Warriors (Boonsboro, MD) in a CMC bout, on Friday, January 13. Smithsburg will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 44-37 non-league loss to Clear Spring (Clear Spring, MD).
