January 10, 2023: Long Lake, MN 55356 The Mound-Westonka White Hawks basketball team (Mound, MN), was overwhelmed 81-47 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Orono Spartans (Long Lake, MN)
The Spartans now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chanhassen for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 17. Orono will confront a Storm team coming off a 79-61 non-league win over North (North St. Paul, MN). The Storm record now stands at 4-7.
The White Hawks (3-6) will now prepare for their battle against St. Croix Lutheran (West St. Paul, MN). The Crusaders come into the non-league battle with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, St. Croix Lutheran trounced Cristo Rey Jesuit (Minneapolis, MN), 54-53, in a non-league battle.
