The South Adams Starfires held off the host Adams Central Flying Jets basketball team by a tally of 50-48 in Tuesday's non-league battle.

The Starfires now possess a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jay County for a non-league battle on Friday, January 13. South Adams will battle a Patriots team coming off a 74-20 non-league win over Heritage (Monroeville, IN). The Patriots record now stands at 16-1.

The Flying Jets (5-13) will now prepare for their battle against Eastbrook (Marion, IN). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 11-4 record.
